Ahoy,

There will be one non-spin start tomorrow with 9 entries registered.

Warning will be at ~10:55 am and Start at 11:00 am taken from GPS/chart plotter.  Per SI signals will be over the radio.  Currently, s/v REVOLUTION will be the signals vessel.  My youngest daughter is coming as a guest, but will not be crewing per the NOR/SI and CHESSS rules.  Maybe she will get some pictures.  I may have her count down the start over the radio after the warning. My plan is to drop a mark greater than 460' from G1 creating a line perpendicular to R 86 for the start and finish.  The course looks favorable for the long course tomorrow.  The SI provides instructions for recording your time.  Ratings will be confirmed later this evening.

Predict Wind has the wind for most models coming from the North most of the day swinging towards NE latter in the afternoon.  Winds models seem to forecast 8-12kt, with higher gusts 18kt-20kt and easing as the afternoon progresses.

Low tide at Thomas Pt is 12:14 pm.  Eastern Bay low tied is 12:23 pm.  Tidal flow, wind angles and intensity will make for some great sailing.  I am also seeing favorable temps and no chance of precipitation except for what splashes over the bow.  Kent Island could buffer the N wind a bit for the leg up eastern bay with tidal assist going NE up Eastern Bay.

Myself, I am expecting an average speed for 5.5kt with a race finish in the mid-3 hr range.  I will be sailing with a slightly smaller sail due to the forecasted wind gust and solo racing.  

I will hang out for any finishers behind me near the pin to pickup the pin after the last boat finishes.    Please give me time to enter results later in the evening after I get back to Tracys Landing.
