Hello! My name is Carl. I am in Miami on a long term travel assignment for work. I have an engineering background and work in project management. I race F18s and similar boats in central Florida. I own a NACRA 570 Sport and a Catalina 22 that I keep at home on the space coast. I am looking to get involved in the sailing community around Miami. Hello! I have experience yacht racing, dinghy racing, and cruising/passage making, looking for opportunities to race and to share experiences. For the past two years I’ve been living in the UK and yacht racing in the solent. Before that was mostly dinghy racing. I have an RYA Yachtmaster, some ASA ratings, am competent to stand watches and skipper passages, but always happy to be rail meat too! I’m based locally (downtown Miami). Sailor out of Boston and owner of J/35, and a J/22 before that, looking to sail in Biscayne Bay in remainder of February, all of March, and first half of April. Prefer to be involved with spinnaker handling and racing, but overall just want to get on the water.
